What does this list cover?

The Catechism defines heresy as the obstinate denial, after Baptism, of a truth that must be believed with divine and catholic faith, and sets it beside apostasy and schism. (CCC 2089; Can. 751; STh II-II, 11)

Beside the heresies stand other errors the Church rejects that are not heresies in that sense: a philosophy, an ideology, a mentality, or the principles of an association. Each of them is marked as an error.

The Church does not charge with the sin of separation those born and raised in communities that separated from it. So each entry here is a teaching, as the Church named it when condemning it, and never a Christian community living today. (CCC 818)
